Leicester Contemporary Art Group

Welcome to our website

The Leicester Contemporary Art Group formed in 2009 consists of a group of  independent artists who are either already established or at the start of their journey through art. The key aim of the group is progression in terms of the individual’s own personal skills and thought processes. There is a general appreciation within the group of the established techniques of past masters which are being transformed and applied in a modern and contemporary way.

Within this group there are artists working in oils, acrylics, mixed media, graphic pencil work, sculpture, ceramics, photography, printmaking, collage and instillation. This reflects a collective spirit in looking for something new, with an honour to the past.
